Power Suits: The power suit is the basic suit that samus
wears. It is a modular upgradable suit that is designed
to be upgraded when new or improved technologies are available.
Many of the games in the Metroid series start with Samus
loosing much of her advanced abilities due to various circomstances
and throughout the game as she faces new challenges the
Power Suit is upgraded to help in these challenges. There
are various versions of the power suit which serves various
tasks from protecting her from extreme atmospher of various
planets wether it be heat, corrosion or poison to allowing
her to move freely under water. The various types of pwer
suits featured in the different Metroid series game are
the Varia Suit, Gravity Suit, Phazon Suit, Dark Suit, Light
Suit, Fusion Suit and Zero Suit.

Beam Weapons: The power beam is Samus's main weapon, it
has unlimited ammunition but is the weakest of all her
beam weapons. As the player traverses through most Metroid
games you will gain various upgrades to her beam weapons
that serve various purposes. Certian beams can only damage
certain enimies and Samus's beams can also be used to interact
with the enviroment fro example opening doors or for freezing
enimies that can them be used as platforms to reach different
areas of the game world. Examples of beam weapons available
to Samus in her various games include the ice beam, spazer,
light beam, dark beam, plasma beam and phazon beam.
