Metroid Prime: Hunters takes
place of Nintendo's successful Nintendo DS handheld
platform and makes use of many of the handheld
devices unique features such as wi-fi and voice
chat. Hunters is the only Metroid game to not feature
the metroid creatures the game series is named
after.
In the single player adventure
mode, Samus embarks on a quest to find ancient
artifacts left behind by an ancient warrior culture
called the Alimbics and uncovers the story surrounding
their demise while competing with rival intergalactic
bounty hunters seeking to claim the artifacts for
themselves. As you play through the single player
mode various items, characters etc are unlocked
in the multiplayer game.
In multiplayer mode a player
can play as Samus as well as one of her many rivals
in the single player game in various matches such
as death match and king of the hill.
